  i wonder what the real reason is behind this plea from the wbts.

  perhaps it is more evidence of a desire to downsize?.

  but they can't downsize the printing works if the brothers are being wasteful!

  Flip we probably agree more than disagree. "Serious money trouble" is matter of interpretation. Do I think that the GB will go to prison for tax fraud? No. Do I think that they will lose their limo service? No. I do think that things may soon reach a point when they will be forced to sell assets. First comes the economizing then the liquidation of assets. I think parts of Brooklyn will be up for sale. Last I checked there were 17 volumes of IRS taxe codes. It is very easy to make a mistake. In my situation the judge and two laywers, one who is a tax specialist, put into my divorce decree something that is in volation to the tax code. It makes an $18,000 tax deduction that they granted me invalid. Nobody wants the IRS digging into their business deciding what is taxable and what is not. Particulary a religion/publishing business that has never paid ANY taxes. The WT is at heart as far out as Jim Jones temple cult, Koresh's Waco cult and don't forget the zany Jim and Tammy Fay Baker Christ-o-World fiasco. Fanatics will do anything for the betterment of their organization legal or not. God is on their side don't you know? Besides that the New World is just around the corner. Sorry I just don't trust them.

  my wife and i were wathching fox news and they were talking about martha stewart's debacle, and low and behold there is mike commenting on how she is going to have to go from 9 houses to 8. anyway did not know we had a celebrity among us.... you did good mike.

  The WT is used to growth in their all important cash flow. Now with the slackening of zeal in the all important industrialised countries and the down turn of general economic conditions they are having serious money problems. They may have to decide how much they are actualy getting for their litter-chure and compare that with what they can sell it for...plus the sales tax. Another problem if they do that would be that it might open themselves up to an IRS audit. I think they want to avoid that at all costs. Who knows maybe IRS investigators would send in a team of forensic bookeepers and start uncovering all kinds irregularities and volations of tax law. I think to the loyal worshipers of the mighty Watchtower god the voluntary contribution arraingement sounds not so bad. Their god is still mighty, but are they going to risk it against the Mighty IRS? I think not. In the mean time economize is their only option. Dave

  i just want to apoligise to everyone that i have offended here.i recently posted something that really upset someone and i feel like the lowest person on the earth.this person has such a huge heart that he/she forgave me.i have so much to learn on how to treat people.. i am going to take some.

  most of you know about the story of the ms who ratted on wildturkey and me for smoking at the club, he smoked one of my cigs and was there with his girlfriend (he is married).

  well, i ran into him last night at the club and confronted him,, i asked him why he told on us, i just wanted to know, he said he didnt know why, he just felt pressured..i asked if he told on himself he said no!!!!!!!!!!!!!
